I've been thinking. About thought. What is thought?

Wiki definition:

Thought or thinking is a mental process which allows beings to model the world, and so to deal with it effectively according to their goals, plans, ends and desires. Concepts akin to thought are sentience, consciousness, idea, and imagination.

Many people think things in their head an an imaginary voice inside their head tells them what their thinking. What does this voice sound like? I can't describe mine. Is it really talking in your head? Can you hear it? What if theres no sound at all, could you still hear it? What if it were extremely noisy. You'd still hear your voice in your head thinking to you if you're thinking of something, right?

Imagining things. Picture this: You holding a teacup.

Where does the picture come from? I can see it in my mind. But where is my mind? I barely understand this at all. What I can see, touch, feel, hear, taste. Pretend you're eating a cake. You can taste the cake in your mind. This is extremely difficult to understand. Mm, mind over matter seems to actually make me wonder now. Since I can force my mind into feeding itself pulses and electrons that creates an image or a sound or a taste of something thats not...


I'd probably do more research on it, but its too much thought for me.
